About The Department

Since its establishment in 2008 the two year program of the HITECH MBA is specifically designed to respond to the needs of industry and to provide high quality education to students to become ‘industry ready’ and ‘entrepreneurially oriented. The program nurtures the students to enhance their self and contextual awareness, communication & negotiation skills entrepreneurial skill, business knowledge and analytical thing, there by shaping them to be leaders to excel in corporate world.

The department has adopted a very pragmatic approach that caters to the ever-changing nature of the corporate world. It exposes the students to diverse elements of the society like the government, industries, student and social communities.

This MBA curriculum is intended to make plans for the post graduate students to:

PROGRAM OUTCOMES (PO’s)

At the time of graduation, the students of Management will be able to:

PO1: Management Knowledge: Apply the knowledge of mathematics, economics and statistics and fundamentals of management to the solution of complex managerial problems.

PO2: Problem Analysis: Identify, formulate, review research literature, and analyze complex managerial problems reaching substantiated conclusions using principles of mathematics, statistics and management sciences.

PO3: Design/ development of solutions for organizational problems:Design solutions for managerial problems and design system components or processes that meet the specified needs with case study analysis.

PO4: Conduct investigations of complex problems: Use research –based knowledge and research methods including design for experiments, analysis and interpretation of data, and synthesis of the information to provide valid conclusions.

PO5: Modern tool usage: Create, select and provide appropriate techniques, resources, and modern managerial and tools including prediction and modeling to complex managerial activities with an understanding of the limitations.

PO6: The manager and society: Apply reasoning informed by the contextual knowledge to access societal, health, safety, legal and cultural issues and the consequent responsibilities relevant to the professional managerial practice.

PO7: Environment and sustainability: Understand the impact of the professional managerial solutions in societal and environmental contexts, and demonstrate the knowledge of, and need for sustainable development.

Laboratories

MBA Computer Lab

The department has a well-furnished lab for the use of the students. It has the capacity of sixty computers with broadband internet facilities and latest software loaded in it to enable students to be vigilant enough for upcoming trends in the field of management, general awareness and technological changes occurring around the globe. We also have a language lab equipped with latest facilities and hi-tech equipment’s for enhancing communication skills of the students.




Faculty Details



Dr.K.Bharath

Associate Professor and Head

Dr.K.Bharath is an Associate professor and he is specialized in Finance and Marketing. He has completed his Ph.D (Management) at Bharathidasn University and also he hold as Masters in Entrepreneurship Development .He has around 11 years of experience in teaching and one year in Industry. His area of interest includes Accountancy, Financial Management and Financial Services. He also contributed in Industry Institute Interaction actives in many forms. As a soft skill trainer he has trained more than 1000 students in UG and PG level. He is an Innovation Ambassador for MHRD’S Innovation Cell.

As a coordinator of Entrepreneurship Cell he has organized many events to the student’s community. He has presented several papers in national and international conferences and has 25 publications to his credit. He was acted as a resource person for many seminars and workshops across management institutions in and around Tamilnadu. As a placement coordinator he has placed more than 100 PG students in reputed organization in a span of 10 years. He was awarded Best Teacher Award by ESA Publication in 2019.



Dr. D.M.Navarasu

Associate Professor

He is an enthusiastic and energizing academician with a blend of industry and teaching experience. He has been motivational trainer and a role model for the student community. He is having industrial exposure, academic focus and administrative experience with that the contribution to the academic environment is appreciable. He has completed his Ph D in Management specialized in operations from Bharathiar University, Coimbatore.

12 years of industrial experience and 20 years of teaching experience. He is specialized in Marketing & Finance. He has been a resource person for Faculty Development Program, Management Development Program and Chair person for various technical sessions in conferences and subject expert in research forums. He is also a member in various board of studies. He has produced Three Ph.D and Five M.Phil degree holders and Seven Ph. Ds are in progress. He has published 5 papers in National and International journals, presented research papers in conferences and also attended more than 35 FDPs. He has attended 3 Months FDP programme at Indian Institute of management – Indore and also attended 2 weeks FDP program at Indian Institute of Management – Bangalore.



Prof. S.Elango

Associate Professor

He has 11 years of work experience in academics and industry. He is currently pursuing his doctoral program in Management Studies at Bharathiar University with research interest in Banking and Finance. His areas of interest are Financial Management, Accounting for Management Banking & Financial Services, International Business Management and Services marketing.

He has vast experience in the areas of ISO, NAAC and AICTE Affiliation. He has published many research articles in indexed, double blind peer reviewed and UGC approved international journals and presented papers in both national and international conferences.



Prof. S.Sangeetha

Associate Professor

She has a great passion for teaching and having 6 years of work experience in academics and industry. She is specialized in Finance & Systems. She was a former employee of Tata Consultancy Services, Chennai and served in the area of Treasury banking. Her goal in teaching is to foster the acquisition of a base of concepts and learning skills to facilitate further learning and thinking.

Her major teaching areas include all financial and system papers. She guides students in the evaluation of evidence, critical thinking, argument development, verbal and written expression, and the application of general principles to novel settings. She acted as the coordinators for NAAC, ISO, and AICTE Affiliation.



5. Dr. S. Suja

Assistant Professor

Dr.S.Suja is an Assistant Professor of Marketing at Hindusthan Institute of Technology, Coimbatore. She holds a Doctoral Degree from Anna University, Chennai in the area of Experiential Marketing. Her research has predominantly focused on engagement and experiences of customers through experiential marketing in organized food retailing outlets. She has served as an HR Manager at APT Infoway, for a period of five years.

The industrial and academic experience has helped her to bring innovation in the teaching methodology and to convey practical application of the course effectively. She had also attended many FDPs, conferences and published many articles in national and international journals. She is currently the coordinator of Entrepreneurship Development Cell.



Prof. V.Divyapraba

Assistant Professor

She has 5 years of work experience in teaching. Her specialized in the areas of Marketing, Human Resources &Training. She takes keen interest in student training for their placement cum teaching. She always looks forward for igniting young minds. Above all, she has a strong passion towards training and development. She was a Lead Trainer at SMART Training resources India Private Limited and Launch Pad.



Mr. J. Rupesh

Assistant Professor

He has got 8 years of experience in teaching. He is specialized in general management. He is a co-ordinator for department ISO, industry institution interaction cell, industrial visits and arranges various guest lectures and training programs for our students. He has also published and presented many of his papers in national and international conferences. He has also attended many FDPs.



Mrs. K. Logeswari

Assistant Professor

She has a 9 years of teaching and 1 year of industry experience with a passion for teaching. She is specialized in Finance and marketing.Her major teaching areas include all marketing, financial and HR papers. She is a soft skill trainer and trained more than 500 students. She is good mentor in student welfare and development and motivated the students for higher studies and competitive examinations. She is also take care of the slow learners for their positive progress. She is the co-ordinator in NAAC, ISO and AICTE affiliation and also take care department activities. She published 7 papers in National journal and 2 papers in International.
