About The Department

Since its establishment in 2008 the two year program of the HITECH MBA is specifically designed to respond to the needs of industry and to provide high quality education to students to become ‘industry ready’ and ‘entrepreneurially oriented. The program nurtures the students to enhance their self and contextual awareness, communication & negotiation skills entrepreneurial skill, business knowledge and analytical thing, there by shaping them to be leaders to excel in corporate world.

The department has adopted a very pragmatic approach that caters to the ever-changing nature of the corporate world. It exposes the students to diverse elements of the society like the government, industries, student and social communities.

PROGRAM EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES (PEO’s)

This MBA curriculum is intended to make plans for the post graduate students to:

PSO 1: An ability to develop skills to analyze various problems in the organization and providing best solutions.

PSO 2: An ability to apply various management principles and concepts of General Management, Marketing , Human Resource management, Quality management and Finance.

PROGRAM OUTCOMES (PO’s)

At the time of graduation, the students of Management will be able to:

PO1: Management Knowledge: Apply the knowledge of mathematics, economics and statistics and fundamentals of management to the solution of complex managerial problems.

PO2: Problem Analysis: Identify, formulate, review research literature, and analyze complex managerial problems reaching substantiated conclusions using principles of mathematics, statistics and management sciences.

PO3: Design/ development of solutions for organizational problems:Design solutions for managerial problems and design system components or processes that meet the specified needs with case study analysis.

PO4: Conduct investigations of complex problems: Use research –based knowledge and research methods including design for experiments, analysis and interpretation of data, and synthesis of the information to provide valid conclusions.

PO5: Modern tool usage: Create, select and provide appropriate techniques, resources, and modern managerial and tools including prediction and modeling to complex managerial activities with an understanding of the limitations.

PO6: The manager and society: Apply reasoning informed by the contextual knowledge to access societal, health, safety, legal and cultural issues and the consequent responsibilities relevant to the professional managerial practice.

PO7: Environment and sustainability: Understand the impact of the professional managerial solutions in societal and environmental contexts, and demonstrate the knowledge of, and need for sustainable development.

PO8: ETHICS: Apply ethical principles and commit to professional ethics and responsibilities and norms of the managerial practice.

PO9: INDIVIDUAL AND TEAM WORK: Function effectively as an individual, and as a member or a leader in diverse teams, and in multidisciplinary settings.

PO10: COMMUNICATION: Communicate effectively on complex organizational activities with the management community and with the society at large, such as, being able to comprehend and write effective reports and design documentation, make effective presentations, and give and receive clear instructions.

PO11: PROJECT MANAGEMENT AND FINANCE: Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the organizational and management principles and apply these to one’s own work, as a member and leader in team, to manage projects and in multidisciplinary environments.

Laboratories

MBA Computer Lab

The department has a well-furnished lab for the use of the students. It has the capacity of sixty computers with broadband internet facilities and latest software loaded in it to enable students to be vigilant enough for upcoming trends in the field of management, general awareness and technological changes occurring around the globe. We also have a language lab equipped with latest facilities and hi-tech equipment’s for enhancing communication skills of the students.




Faculty Details



Dr.K Prabakar

Professor and Head

He has 22 years of experience in the field of teaching, training and Industry. He is a social worker and gives importance to human values and always maintains a good rapport with his colleagues and students. He worked as an Eye Bank Manager and Camp Manager at Aravind Eye Hospital, Coimbatore. His expertise areas are Marketing, Human Resource, and entrepreneurship and Strategic management. He has presented several papers in national and international conferences and has 25 publications to his credit.

He has acted as trainer and resource person for several Management Development Programmes for corporate executives and Special lectures for management graduates. He has handled many administrative responsibilities like Academic Coordination, ISO Certification, Branding and Strategic Planning.



Dr.K.Bharath

Associate Professor

He is an enthusiastic and analytically strong professional with more than 10 years of experience in Accounting and Finance. Having a good record of accomplishment of placing the candidates in reputed companies by effective skill based training. He has also involved himself in Counseling and helping the young Budding managers to their future endeavor.

To his credit, he has published more than 15 papers in reputed national and international journals. He has also attended various international and national conferences. He is an effective motivator and troubleshooter with well-developed communication and inter-personal skills and has commitment towards excellence. He is the coordinator for Entrepreneurship Development Cell and NAAC.



Prof. S.Elango

Associate Professor

He has 11 years of work experience in academics and industry. He is currently pursuing his doctoral program in Management Studies at Bharathiar University with research interest in Banking and Finance. His areas of interest are Financial Management, Accounting for Management Banking & Financial Services, International Business Management and Services marketing.

He has vast experience in the areas of ISO, NAAC and AICTE Affiliation. He has published many research articles in indexed, double blind peer reviewed and UGC approved international journals and presented papers in both national and international conferences.



Prof. S.Sangeetha

Associate Professor

She has a great passion for teaching and having 6 years of work experience in academics and industry. She is specialized in Finance & Systems. She was a former employee of Tata Consultancy Services, Chennai and served in the area of Treasury banking. Her goal in teaching is to foster the acquisition of a base of concepts and learning skills to facilitate further learning and thinking.

Her major teaching areas include all financial and system papers. She guides students in the evaluation of evidence, critical thinking, argument development, verbal and written expression, and the application of general principles to novel settings. She acted as the coordinators for NAAC, ISO, and AICTE Affiliation.



Prof. R.Sheela Devi

Assistant Professor

She has 9 years of work experience in academics. She is specialized in Marketing & Human Resources. She would take responsibilities and strives hard to accomplish the student mind and act as a coordinator for industrial visit. She enjoys doing things creatively. She always looks forward for igniting young minds. Above all, she has a strong passion towards teaching. Her areas of interests are Organizational Behaviour, Emotional Intelligence and Work Life Balance. She is very much interested in counseling the students and bringing the best out of them.



Prof. V.Divyapraba

Assistant Professor

She has 5 years of work experience in teaching. Her specialized in the areas of Marketing, Human Resources &Training. She takes keen interest in student training for their placement cum teaching. She always looks forward for igniting young minds. Above all, she has a strong passion towards training and development. She was a Lead Trainer at SMART Training resources India Private Limited and Launch Pad.
